WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES
STRATEGIC PLANNING & SITE ARCHITECTURE
This phase of the project consists of information-gathering activities to determine the requirements, objectives, as well as outlining the hierarchy and flow of the work to be performed. This phase is vital to the long-term success of the project, since it truly defines the goals and determines the "feel" of the communications package. When we present the Strategic Planning & Site Architecture for review and approval, our customers will have the opportunity to discuss options with us and make suggestions for improvement.
Deliverables:
- Mission Statement - a short description of the overall purpose for developing the project.
- Audience Definition - a description of the target audience and the desired value of the information being passed on to the audience.
- Goals Document - a detailed description of the purpose for the project, and the goals for the project's future. This step provides an idea of the types of functionality and features our services should contain, as well as how the audience should interact with the end product.
- Technical Definition - a baseline for future planning as to the use of interactive marketing media and storage technology.
- Website Flowchart - a visual outline of the site, showing each major and minor section, with the links and relationships between them.

This will involve the creation of composite renderings of each major and minor element with the complete visual presentation of the campaign The client will have the opportunity to meet with Web&Systems Development Group developers and discuss the visuals and make suggestions for improvement. Once modifications are made based on the suggestions, Web&Systems Development Group will receive signed approval to implement the visual elements.
